I have developed my botanical work into a very personal and contemporary art form through my 'spiral' series. My paintings are a true and accurate representation of the subject with both pencil & watercolour being used harmoniously. The naturally occuring spiral subjects have a direct connection with the colour spiral. Those subjects without this phenomena have elements of design introduced by way of the colour spiral whilst still capturing the botanically correct aspects. Visually these allow the viewer to have their own interpretations of the image.
