With botanical studies, accuracy and detail are of the utmost importance. My patterns are an adaptation and interpretation of the natural form. It is a fun way of using images from either my personal portfolio or from inspirational subjects to give a pattern which can then be repeated to produce a 'william morris' style image, where the repetition produces its own extension of the image.
